The Coronavirus pandemic of 2020 forced the closing of 

the very popular Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego.

As a long time resident in Ocean Beach, I have observed the pier 
in all kinds of weather, surf and crowd conditions.

I painted the sky in about three minutes, wet on wet.
Before adding the pier, water and jetty rocks to the dried sky painting,

I executed a rapid black and white value plan on simple sketchbook paper, to explore the size/placement options.
