at the 2017 Plein Air Convention & Expo at San Diego's Sheraton Hotel & Marina, very near Spanish Landing.

That's The Jada at the dock with the green sail covers, a familiar vessel on San Diego Bay. Painting on location forces one to minimize extraneous details at the scene -  the clutter of docked boats in the harbor beyond had to go.
